The team at the Kiwi Composting Toilet got together after experiencing the long wait for a traditional ‘portat-aloo” at typical New Years kiwi music festival, we were complaining that all these loos were making waste that could be used for making wonderful soil.
We talked about the composting loo at former Green Party co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimonds composting loo on her farm in the Coromandel and how clean and good for nature it was. It was then the spark of inspiration hit us, we need to provide beautiful hand crafted, natural and sustainable composting loo’s for Aotearoa and the world!
